How to Improve Self-Confidence

 

Self-confidence isn’t always innate. Sometimes, it has to be learned and practiced over time. It can take months, years, and even decades, but the reward is far worth it.

Being confident in who you are, flaws and all, is how you start wearing the clothes that you want, start living the life that you want, and start helping other women live the life that they deserve.

1. Acknowledge Your Flaws

If you’ve been having low self-esteem, this is probably the last thing you want to do. Before you keep scrolling, just take 5 minutes to write down a few things that are stopping you from living a life full of abundance and glowing with confidence.

If you’re tempted to write something like “I hate my body,” stop and change the narrative to “I compare myself to others.” Be open and honest about what’s causing you to lack confidence. The reason we allow our physical appearance to rob us of our confidence is because it draws attention away from even bigger insecurities we shove inside.

2. Visualize Your Highest Self

We don’t always act like our highest self. We’re not always born with the qualities we want, the personality, or even the appearance. However, the only way to become the woman you want to be is to start acting like her.

Get clear on who you want to be and the kind of impact you want to have on the world.

If you wish you were someone who had high self-confidence, don’t just wish you had it. Start acting as if you do and practice it day in and day out. Once you know who you want to be, you can start implementing changes into your life that will get you closer to that visualization.

3. Repeat Positive Affirmations

Your thoughts are shaping your entire reality. You have more power over your mind than you think you do. With that being said, water your mind with positive affirmations like you’d water your plants to make them flourish. Tell yourself that you’re beautiful today, even if you don’t feel it. Tell yourself that you love your body, even if it’s not perfect. Tell yourself that you’re powerful beyond measure, even if you’re afraid to be.
